MACA

Maca grows at over 4000 meters above sea level and has been used for thousands of years in the Peruvian culture.

Maca is a root vegetable and looks like a radish or turnip and tastes a bit like horseradish and parsnips. The Maca root grows in the Andes at 4000-4500 meters altitude (halfway to Mount Everest) and thrives best in tough climate and nutrient-poor soil in a landscape that can best be described as a moonscape. Maca is also known as Peruvian Ginseng and many top athletes have used Maca in their practice. Maca consists of 60% carbohydrates, 8.5% Fiber and 10% Protein.
